Bridge over Venice canal

We've taken the best features of our Mexico programs and brought them to Venice, where canals and bridges lead from one incredible culinary secret to another. As in Tepoztlán, thousands of years of traditional cooking make this UNESCO world heritage site an ideal place for the kind of gastronomic immersion we've perfected, in which culture and cuisine go hand in hand.

You'll shop at the famed Rialto Market and roll up your sleeves for hand-on classes with local women who've honed the great regional recipes for which Venice is known, drawing on the bounty of the lagoon and the surrounding area of the Veneto. You'll learn to make classic Italian pastas from one of the best shops in the city, observe one of Italy's most innovative chocolatiers at work (and taste her chocolate) and try your hand at both traditional and contemporary cichetti, the Venetian equivalent of tapas.

From our welcome dinner to our farewell gala, we've also included a whole curated dining track, which introduces you to some of the city's finest restaurant chefs while you dine on their creations.

Key features of the trip include:
  • Six nights in an elegant boutique hotel
  • Curated dining with top chefs
  • Museum visits with private docent
  • Baroque concert in a historic church
  • Time to explore the city on your own
  • Unlimited vaporetto pass
  • Optional extensions
